I guess I've seen the thread in this forum about making propellers for WW1 aircrafts from the wood. Can't find it.
Where do I purchase (preferably online) that wood as I haven't found any shipmodeling shop here in Riga?
Thank everyone for answering in advance

I can provide Veneer in different shades dark and light. The thickness of the material matches to 1/48 scale.

Stephen,
Thanx for answering and comprehensive article on wooden propellers!
I also found very useful article "Oscar's Doppeldecker" in Scale Aviation Modeller International (year 2003) by Dagmar Henderickx. The author describes the process of detailing Eduard's 1/48 Pfalz D.III and with some very (very very) useful tips about making wooden propeller, scratchbuilding spoken wheels (without photoetching!), rigging, weathering, etc.
Unfortunatelly I haven't found any information about doll house supply shops near Riga neither ship modeling hobby shops in Latvia
I guess my only hope it Peter as a couple of furniture manufacturers I called do not agree to sell pieces of veneer...

That picture does explain a lot. I always assumed they did it in whole pieces. It never occured to me they would have used precut pieces.

Here's another pic that shows propeller building process (I guess it can be dated by WW1 period):
