I just got done painting my p-47d razorback in a shiny aluminum, and was wondering if there were any silver ones that served in the pacific? If so, what units flew them and from where.
Thanks,
~Chip

Hi Chip.
Im away from home at the moment but Im sure of got pictures at home of NMF Razorbacks in the Pacific theatre, although the vast majority of nmf P-47s that saw service there were the "N" version.
One unit that certainly flew Razorbacks was the 348FG, which flew P-47s with a mixture of olive drab, nmf, and grey undersides out of Finschafen New Guinea.
Theres a decal sheet available for one of these T'bolts.Daring Dottie III.
Be sure to check out the Aeroscale P-47 Thunderbolt SIG
