:-) For the Corsair group build I am modelling a birdcage F4U-1, Marines Dream. I am using AeroMaster decals, the information calls for a 2 tone colour scheme of Blue Grey over Light Grey, but it dosen't give FS numbers. I have Xtracolor Dark Blue/Grey FS15237 whitch I think could be the right colour, or certainly close enough. I don't have Light Grey other than FS16622 which is that used in Vietnam and I'm sure thats not it. I do have FS16440 Light Gull Grey which I'm planning on using If I don't find the correct colour.
Can anyone tell me the FS numbers of Blue Grey and Light Grey used on early Marine Corsairs. Or if these 2 colours are identified in any paint ranges, thanks :-)

Intermediate blue and Gull gray are very close, Testors sells the US Navy blue/gray in their model master II line.I would still use the gull gray...Mike T

Light Gray Lower surfaces of USN aircraft until 1942 FS:36440

There's another link whereeach FS color is given, divided by colors like Reds, Greens, etc.
