What's a good 1/48 swordfish model out there?
TIA

I know there is a 1/48 Fairey Swordfish by Tamiya. There was a short story about one in the April 2002 FSM. It begins with the opening sentance, 'It appears that Tamiya's 1/48 scale Fairey Swordfish is nearly faultless.' Personnaly I think that's a pretty good intro. I don't have the model, and what is said in FSM is all I know about the plane...
Here's a link to the search results at Squadron.com, search results for 1/48th swordfish Well, that's for Tamiya anyway. Happy hunting, M1!

Yodaman is correct, he is! It can be built with wings out or folded. But you will have to pay a hefty chunk. From what I have heard it is worth it,

The Tamyia comes in 2 versions, Standard Carrier/Land Based or with Floats (pontoons). The kit is pricey, but it is worth the cash! They also make an aftermarket PE set for the rigging lines, but I would use fishing line instead. :-)

That kit is on my "Got to have" list as well, I want the one with the floats. Military hobbies had it for $39, thats the cheapest I have seen it yet. Check here: military hobbies
