Hello everyone,
Im about to paint my ju88 for the Aerodrome campaign, but im not sure what color the germans used for a base coat when a plane came rolling out of the factory. Were they aluminum or did they spray a grey primer over it before they applied the camo scheme? If so, do you happen to know which RLM color that would be?
Thanks

:-) Hi Dolf,
To be perfectly honest I don't know the answer to that one, never thought about it. I've had a look through some stuff but couldn't come up with the answer However my thoughts on this are; If a primer was used it would almost certainly be RLM 02, the same colour as the wheel wells and gear legs. I don't think that a primer would be used though, the reason for this is as a weight saving measure, the amount of primer require to entirely cover a Ju 88 would have quite a weight penalty. HTH :-)
