Hi Jim
Thanks for bringing us news of these - they look gorgeous! It's certainly been a good weekend for anyone looking for 1/48 scale airfield equipment!
All the best

Hi Drabslab!
I have some Accurate Armor 1/48 scale kits in my stash and while I agree with you that they are expensive, I can also say that we are speaking about museum quality models here. Having build their Tilly Truck for my RAF Dispersal Pen diorama I can say that they are VERY detailed. If you need one of their vehicles for a diorama project I would recommend them. However if you are a kit collector, you are in trouble...
My favorite one amongst their new 1/48 scale vehicle kits is this one though:

I understand completely, however until a manufacturer actually sticks their neck out and creates a useful (basic) model in injected-styrene, there isn't going to be an alternative. In 1/35th scale, we've waited years to get vehicles like the British Armored Cars (previously 'Resin-Territory') and I sincerely hope that someone will consider it. With that in mind, I would see support vehicles as something the Russian manufacturers such as ICM might consider in the future. We can but hope..

Hi again
The way things work, it's only by resin kits achieving healthy sales that the "majors" will decide there's a big enough market to justify investing the hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars needed to produce an injected kit.
I remember some years ago, Accurate Miniatures explaining that it cost them $1000 per part(!) in an aircraft kit - something to bear in mind when we call for more details and options...
All the best
