I would be on for this one. Probably with a Japanese dive bomber, but time will show.

Thanks for the initiative

I enlisted. I don't know what I am going to do, or where I will find the time. But I will come up with something.

Hi all!

Ok, I just enlisted!

Next year seems to be a hard one, filled with interesting Campaigns.

Better start planning and reading!

For this Campaign I´ll probably do a Revell/Hasegawa Aichi D3A1 "Val" Divebomber in 1/48.

maybe something else will come up, but I´ll bet it will be anything Japanese though!

Cheers!

When do we have to decide what we are building?

you can decide that closer to the date. this is the first time i have tried to start a campaign but it seems this thread is just to see if the interest is there.

Hi joe, when is the latest you can "enlist"? I would love to do this one, but I am already full of GBs, need to finish some stuff first... I can enlist if you need the people, then worry down the road about time to finish.. cheers, Jim

james i am told that entry can be anytime up to the end date. the only requirement given is that the build must be done durring the alloted time period.

Thanks for the info Joe, I want to participate but already have other GBs in my list and wanted to wait to make sure I had the time... really enjoyed the GB over at FSm. I dont have anything exciting in my stash just the ubiquitous type21 zero with PH markings. Will sign up down the road once I make a dent in other builds, thanks again! jim

james i am glad you enjoyed it. i look forward to what you do this time. i do believe mine is chosen already. i have an sbd-1 that would look good as a big "E" bird. and would make a good present to a vet here in the area that was aboard the big "E" at that time.

Joe, I look forward to joining once it is officially posted.. will do the Tamiya A6M2 Zero (Zeke) w/PH markings, not very exciting but you gotta start somewhere! As for ships... if I have time, I will build the Fujimi 1:700 IJN Chikuma Heavy Cruiser, one of 2 Hvy cruisers who launched the patrol seaplanes for the final recon of PH prior to the attack. Again thanks for doing this GB and look forward to it! James

I would like to do one of the Flying Fortresses that was coming in during that time. But I will wait to decide closer to the start date - I may not have time to do this GB ( deployments, ect.)

This works perfect with a project I'm in the process of doing research on -converting Revell's 1/72 Gato into the Tambor class USS Tautog as she appeared during the attack. I've collected lot's of on line photos of the Tautog and other Electric Boat built Tambors but am still looking for something for hull details and deck layout.

Darn, Darn, Darn . I just competed a 1/72 scale model of the mini-sub sunk by the Ward at Pearl. I would have loved to enter this campaign with that kit. But, I am still in. I will probably do one of the torpedo aircraft involved in the attack, as I just picked up a few on e-Bay. Count me in...looking forward to this one.

Cheers,
Mike

Ok I am in I have several kits to pick from. I am new so the photo upload has been a gremlin for 5 tries, if anyone has a 4 year olds version on how to do it I would really appreciate it.
