Big Scale? What else to call it, since my last project was in 1/285
I love to build Swedish aircraft, and wanting to build more snow globe dioramas, see my Stars of the VVS-project, I was happy to confirm that a Swedish J 26 (P-51B from "Sweet") or a Saab J 29F Tunnan (from "FE Resin") would indeed fit in the larger sized snow globe!
My plan is to build tiny dioramas from the 1950's and 60's, hopefully with a pilot or two...
Do to previous promises, I will have to accompany my wife and son to the Canary Islands next week. This project will therefore have to wait until the holidays! It's a shame, I know, but what is a poor man to do...!
Wishing you all a merry Christmas (and white, with lots and lots of snow)!

Hi Björn!
Joyeux Noël to you and your family!
I can't wait to see this one finished as well. Is this the start of a new collection?

These are ment to be christmas gifts (and probably will be, even though slightly belated). I'm very happy with the fit of these 1/144 birds in the globes. In my mind, these are two of the most beautiful aircraft that ever flew in the Swedish Airforce, and I'm glad to be able to build tiny winter dioramas of them.
The Sweet kit of the P-51B is excellent. A lot of work remains. This particular aircraft ("white David") was used as an unarmed staff plane after WWII, so I have to plugg the openings for the machinegunds etc. With the Mustang, I'm going to practice darkening panellines in arrears, and on the Tunnan - as you can see - I'm trying to darken them in advance. It will be nice to compare the effects. And then, of course, there is all the detailing left!
Now I'm off to the sun!
Cheers!
