I have an old Microscale decal sheet #32-50,and am interested in the VFA-131 Wildcats,Bu No 161970, flying from the USS Coral Sea.Did this unit upgrade to the 'C' model and would they have worn the same markings apart from the BuNo.I am intending to buy the Academy kit,but my references are limited and would appreciate advice on the subject.

Yes they upgraded to the C but that was a few years after they left the coral sea.
