:-) Well I picked up my copy of SAMI today, in the kit listings for 2003 Tamiya are down for a brand new tooloing of the B17G. If this is true then this will be absolutly awsome :-)

:-) Well to be honest with you I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked and looked again and looked some more. After posting this I went and looked again. Of course there is no telling if it is true but it's in the listing, take a look:
There is a black dot against the B17-G, take a look at the key. Black dot = new tooling. I certainley hope this is true, we also need a new tooling of the B-24 and Lancaster, Stirling and Halifax too. Trumpater are issuing a 1/48 Wellington, that should be some kit, can't wait, must get a job :-)

To be honnest, I'm rather scared of the price...
The same thing applies for the trumpeter kit. Their plane kits are expensive !

:-) yeah, with you there but if they are "state of the art" then the cockpits and other internal detail ought to be good. If so I wont be buying any aftermarket stuff so that in a way keeps the price down. To be honest with you, certainly as far as the Trumpeter Wellington goes, if it isnt over 50 quid then I'll be having one, if it's less than 25 I'll have at least 2. For me the trouble with expensive kits is you tend to save them until your skills are up to it. Thats why they never get built
