Hi
Here is a post on my two latest aircraft. I have been working on them a little on and off in between my Chi Ha tank build for a campaign on Armorama.
Theay are two old 1/48 Hobbycraft kits I picked up some time ago in Paris, France when I was visiting with my girlfriend.
One is a Bf 109 E3 with Hasegawa decals donated by follow Latvian modeller Arseny (Roxter). Thanks a lot The aircraft is the one Heinz Bar ditched in the channel under BoB. He was picked up by own forces later.
The other one is a Bf 109 E7 from the initial stages of Barbarossa. I found a lot of conflicting colour profiles of this aircraft, but went with the overall RLM 71 coat. I used the kits decals which fitted quite well despite being very old.
The kits are basically the same with just some small parts interchangeable such as propeller, cockpit glazing etc. There are some fit problems - especially around the wing roots and the engine cowling. But look okay when finished. Still need to add the radio wires. Anyway, I will not win any competitions with these but I like the end result and had fun in the process. To me that is what the modelling hobby is about

I think they both look quite nice Jesper. Cant wait for Eduards 1/32 "E" to hit the shelves.

Thanks, Carl
What E? Is Eduard launching a ME 109 E in 1/32? That is news to me - but good news.

Hi Jesper!
Yes an Eduard 1/32 scale Me 109 E is planned for this year if I'm not wrong.
It's a very nice pair of Messerschmitts you've built. How is the interior detail when compared to the Hasegawa and Tamiya kits? Do you have pictures of the underside?

Thanks for the comments, Jean-Luc.
Will be interesting to see if the Eduard Bf 109 E is the same high quality as their recent FW 190 and ME 110 kits.
The cockpits details are a little more soft in the Hobbycraft kits, but are roughly of the same standard as the Hasegawa kits.
I will take a few pictures of the the undersides and post them later.

As promised here are the pictures of the undersides. Taking the pictures reminded me that I have to touch up on one of the crosses as I broke apart at one end.
