Oh my! Be still my beating heart. This guy is a master.
"Hi!
First sorry for my English. . . A few days ago i start with my first scratch build project. Now is ready first version of wing frame. I need some help from You. I have not information about internal details of wing structure like control surface hinge, ferrule, anchorage. . . Can somebody help me?"

Now wing is covered with japan paper (i dont know, it is good name, this is paper used in RC flying models to cover wings).

I responded to him immediately.
"It is my pleasure to help such a fine work inprogress!
In the venerable Cross & Cockade International issues beginning with;
Volume 20 #1 1989 we find the first of a series on the De Havilland DH2 pusher scout. Originated by Mr. Barrington J. Gray and members of C&C Intl. DH2 research group. These segments (1-5) were concerning the real aircraft and its production types, series and modifications. The scale drawing are some of the best I have ever seen. I post the information here for your enjoyment.
Vol. 20 #1 1989 Part 1.

He uses a photoetch folding device. Most impressive. While my meager forays into PE have allowed me to avoid their purchase of such a folding table I must admit if I was going to go to this extreme it would be worth it.

I just wish I could get my PART frets from Jadar. I ordered in Jan, and well...havent seen them yet. I didnt know I was going to have to give my models 6 months notice to finish one. Maybe I need to start making my own PE, kinda like lozenge.

Hello Hugh,
I ordered from Jadar, and got an email saying my parts shipped but they said the ship date was 08-02-08. I dont know if they mean Feb 02,2008, or Aug 2, 2008. But they sent me the email on Feb 5th and I still havent recieved the order yet. I have emailed them back twice asking for confirmation but have yet to hear a word.
thanks for the concern,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I think that Europe has the same date configuartion as we do here (at least that's what I glean from email communicatiosn with my German Work coleagues) that is, day, month, year. So it should have shipped on the 8th of Feb. I'd say something has gone awry. I generally get stuff from Jadar withing two weeks of shipping...
All I can suggest that is customs are holding it up for some reason. I once orderd a heap of etch through Hannants in the UK and it took 6 weeks. When I finally got the package, it had been gone through with a fine toothed comb by Australian Customs. Must have shown up as dodgy on an X-ray or something...
Maybe speak to your local post office?
Cheers,
Hugh

Jeff, I order from Derek--- Jadar all the time.
usually it takes a week to 2 weeks to arrive if he has it in stock, other wise he orders it, then ships it. If he told you it was mailed, then from past experience it has been. the 08-02-08 is Feb 8, 2008. If you opted for the surface mail, expect a long wait, as it takes months to arrive. (plainly stated at his site)
Amazingly, my Jadar package has just arrived as I type this. (It comes registered by the way, so you will need to sign for it.)
That DH-2 is amazing.

Dave, thanks for the info. I cant remember what mode of shipping I requested. But obviously I chose the slowest. Thanks!
*edit* I just checked my method of shipping and I did opt for "surface mail" well this teaches me a lesson then. Can anyone tell me next time I order, what is the shipping method for a couple weeks?
*edit 2* Airmail is the way to go here. I remember one of my elementary school teachers telling me to read the entire worksheet before starting. Now I know what she meant. At 50 you'd have thought I would be more alert as Jadar has in big red letters "SHIPPING SURFACE MAIL TO USA TAKES OVER 3 MONTHS"
I am currently accepting pokes in the eye with a sharp staub...
thanks and please excuse my idiocy..

Put the sharp stick down Jeff.
I made the same mistake by not checking my shipping method once at Lucky Models before clicking pay, and had the surface shipping checked. Needless to say it cost me more, and the wait was extremely long. I now double check all shipping before I click pay.

Make my own PE ? Jeff there just aren't enough hours in the day for me. . . Aeroscale member Wojtek Fajga is showing us all the way. I just hope he does some Fokker kit 1/48 scale PE wings. In the mean time I am overjoyed working on a fret of his DH 2 wings!

I would say that Wojtek's work is cutting edge. He is inspiring as well as very inovative. Reminds me of Ken Foran's work. If those two ever got together we might all be in trouble. I call myself somewhat of a traditionalist. I like plastic because it reminds me of my youth, building all the time while listening to my music. I saw his Nieuport 28 upper wing just moments ago and that floored me. I love looking and following along, but this skill is beyond me. Maybe that's why I call myself a traditionalist.....because it's easier!
