This is my final build for 2007. An SC-47 in 1/72. The donor kit was an old ESCI AC-47. I just left off the guns and added a couple small antennas to round her out. Thanks for looking, comments welcome. "Q"

Just wanted to say really nice looking build. That C-47 has such classic lines, probably because it is a classic! Great work. Like the contrast between the yellow and the o.d..
One question. If it is a C-47 should it have the windows for the passengers? Just curious. Either way good job. Russell

Yes it would have the windows as they were converteed from DC-3's. The windows weren't the distiguishing feature between DC-3 and C-47. The C-47 featured a six inch greater wingspan, and the little astrodome just behind the cockpit. Cargo doors were different as well. The pasenger door was replaced with a large split rearward opening cargo door. Carberator inlets were different between the two planes. The 47 carried larger/longer dust filters too. Lots of little things differed between them , but still pretty much the same basic airframe. Thanks for the kudos. "Q"
ps. This particluar SC-47 didn't caryy the astrodome though.

Hi Matthew!
This is a great model to finish the year 2007, congratulations!
Perhaps you should darken the intakes over the engines a bit, so they look hollow. Other than that, fantastic work.

Thanks for the kudos guys. After looking at my reference pics last night I noticed that I missed a couple items. Forgot to add my DF loop antenna to the nose..don't know how I missed that, and there are two observation blisters on the aft most windows, one on each side. Never noticed them before. Will also darken the intakes on the dust filters. Good catch on that one. I have a "Pinoccio" in West German markings underway currently (just started last night) Stay tuned for pics on that one. Its unusual if nothing else. Thaks again. "Q"
