If it comes true it would one hell of a big kit.

You would have to sell your first, second and third born. and build a hanger to sort it

HUGE!! Think it'sabout 22.5" wingspan and about 80USD+shipping. Wil need a table, garage,or hanger to show it. I'll wait for the 1/32 JU-88.
Cheers!

Crikey that'll be a big boy!!

Is there much of a market for such kits? Like the 1/32 Vulcan that was at Telford, surely these kits are for people who make for museams or just have a VERY large display case.

And the problem is?

I'm quite happy with the selling idea.

1/24th is a bit big I'd settle for a new-mould 1/32nd Mossie, to go with my big Beaufighter....

Hi all

Reports back at the time that Airfix released their 1/48 scale Mossie stated that they'd done all the design work for a planned 1/24 scale kit, but then decided not to release it and scaled everything down.

All the best

Yes I remember reading this about the Airfix 1/48 Mossie. It certainly is big in 1/24 scale, as seen by the Heritage Aviation vac form. I hope that if Airfix do deliver they do a very good job of detailing, because if they don't I reckon that it won't sell. However I am hopeful that the new hands on the helm are looking at what Trumpeter have done and feel that big is getting better. I think that a 1/32 scale Mossie would be better bet (only because I want one) but whatever Airfix have planned I am very hopeful for the future

In the meantime, the 1/32 JU-88 IS scheduled for 10/08.

Whoohoo! A 1/32 Junkers 88 for my 1/32 Beaufighter to chase!

I still fancy the 1/24 Mossie though... It can chase the 1/24 Stuka!
