Were there any pilots who flew for the Luftwaffe with the last name of Knitter?

their was Lt. Otto Kittel, a high scoring Luftwaffe ace with over 200 kills.

If you go to this web site there is a listing of pilots and their kills, you may have some luck in locating the pilot your looking for there if he made some varified kills, the list is pretty complete, but definately not all inclusive Im sure. on startling thing to note when looking at the list is how far down the list you find an american ace.

when you get there it looks like site is in german, just hover your mouse over spots and it will translate, go to "Jagdflieger" and click on it, that will take you to the list
