Some kitcollectors will call it blasphemy, buit I could not resist building this 1955 Revell kit:

What suprised me most was the fact the original decals came of very well!

Looks like a P-39 to me.

Are you going to "dirty it up"?

Just wondering.............the decals look like they are backing off, have you applied any setting solution to them?

Hello,

No, I am not going to do any weathering. I want to keep it a clean build. The reason the decals look like backing of is cause of the big raised decalindiciators. Something very common in those days. Used plenty of setting solution.

Cheers, Nico

Looks like a good job - no problems with placing the decals correctly.

This kit might be a little too old to be from my childhood, but building old kits can be a fun stroll down memory lane. I have bought some old ESCI kits to build in the old boxes, old decals and everything. Great fun although the result is not as good as with new kits.

Thanks for sharing.
