I'm not very familiar with the Phantom II but I'm about to start building my first. The Pro Modeler F-4E. Can anyone recommend any good web sites with info about this fighter. Also does anyone know who makes decals for hard wing SEA Phantoms? I've been searching with little luck so far.

I've got quite a few F-4 links saved in my bookmarks, here are a few that you should find useful:

http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/military/f4/index.htm

http://www.5053phantoms.com/photos/index.php

http://www.keytlaw.com/F-4/milavlinks.htm

I highly recommend doing a search on Airliners.net. The quality of photos on this site are uniformally OUTstanding:

Good luck with your browsing and your F-4 build.

Wow. Thanks for the help guys. I just spent the last two hours looking at pictures of Phantoms. What an incredible looking machine. I didn't used to like the F-4 but now I want an "E", a "D", and even a "J" would be cool. I plan on building F-4E-35-MC "Betty Lou" of the 469 TFS based out of Korat in 1969. The shark teeth are to cool to pass up. I imagine I will probably do it as a build blog so everyone will get a chance to see it as I go.

One thing before I go. I read in an online forum that the tail code 70-308 (which is supplied in the decal sheet) is incorrect for this machine and that 67-308 is more likely. Not that it is a big deal to me but does anyone know if this is true?

Now all I have to do is wait for all my various Phantom parts to arrive in the mail.

Thanks again.

-Matt
