Hi all!
This Is my Siskorsky SH-3H Sea King in 1/48, built from the Revell re-boxing of the Hasegawa kit.
Also, my first one finished this year, altough It was started late Oct. 2005!
Built OOB, but I used the excellent Eduard painting-masks for the windows.
I choosed to build her with the rotorblades folded, saves a LOT of space and makes the chopper really compact!
Cheers!

Stefan,
Great Looking Sea King you did. The decals and painting also look great. Nice job with the antenna. Did you enjoy building the kit, I've built two and would like to do a few more. Pretty hard to find these days, and if you do they are costly...up to $55.00 dollars. You say Revell is re-boxing them, missed the bost on this one. When did they come out and whats the price like...
Here's the one I did for the "Guardian Angel" campaign.

Hi all!
Looks like we have lots of Kings here!
Joe and Drabslab (what callsign is THAT???);
Your Kings are so nice, I like the gaudy scheme on Drab´s King and the more weathered and beaten up look on Joe´s Is excellent!
Joe; I bought this model in a Revell of Germany box 2004, and on the instructions it says 2001, so it was some time ago!
Now It´s OOP, think it dissapeared from the range 2005.
Revell Germany usually releases 3-4 kits from Hasegawa each year, often at half the price compared to Hase!
Revell usually makes their own variants with new decals and sometimes new parts!
This year we can buy the Hasegawa 1/48;
F-86F-40 Sabre with new (resin) wingtips to make the long wing version.
Spitfire Mk IXe with new decals
F4U-5/F4U-7 Corsair, new decals
When Revell(G) reissues those Hasegawa kits, I always stock up on them!
I really enjoyed the build, apart from the problems with the big front canopy glass part!
It was about 1mm too wide to fit properly, and the side parts would´nt fit either!
I solved it by gluing a strip of plasticard behind the right (starboard) window.
You can see it on the pics if you look closley, I believe I could hide it quite well.
If I find an irresistible scheme (and find a kit cheap), I´ll build another for sure!
Fred; There was about 200 of the little buggers on the decal sheet!
It took me four evenings to get all the decals on the model, I was almost crosseyed at the end!
But every little stencil is readable, and the decals for the rotorblades all have different serial-numbers!
That´s attention to details!
All decals went on perfectly and I used Micro-set most, only a little Micro-sol on one or two stubborn decals.
Gino and Al; I´m happy you liked her!
Cheers!

Hoihoi,
It seems that my callsign is creating some confusion?
I never thought it would.

No, not confusion, just out of curiosity!
As they say, "Curiosity killed the cat", luckily I´m not a cat!
Cheers!
