As a nice and easy just-for-relaxation build before the twin spinners campaign, I tackled Revell's Spitfire mk.V, and now with the painting stage I encountered a problem I've never seen before.
As usual, I used rolled-up white tac for masking the outlines of the camo.

Normally, this has worked great, with no effect on the paint underneath. Flat paints tend to absorb something from the 'Tac and turn darker if left on for longer time, like several days. This time, the masks where on for less than a couple of hours.
Now the tac left marks on the green paint, and I don't know what I did wrong. The xtracrylics RAF dark green was left to dry for at least a full day (or two, I can't remember exactly) before masking up for the ocean grey, so I should have been properly cured.
I thought it was just looking darker because it had been handled, like corners tend to do, and sprayed on a gloss coat of future hoping it would make the dark borders disappear, but no, they're still there.

I guess I have to play it safe next time and spray coat of future on flat paints before bringing in the white-tac.
