Does anyone have a preference? I have Humbrol poly cement, but it seems a lot of modelers don't use this....

cheers

I use plain old Elmer's White school glue. It dries clear and holds well. Doesn't fog clear parts, you can thin it with water, and you can even use it to make clear areas / windows.

Until recently Ive always used Humbrol Clear Fix, but recently Ive started using cheap and cheerfull PVA "white" glue.
I find that because its thinner than Clear Fix its easier to work with.
Does this mean the P38 is almost done?

Thanks to both of you.

Yes, it is almost there Nige. I've had to repaint the nose and am not really happy with it, but I've learned so much from the build. Should be ready for decals next week as I have my Klir (Klear) I ordered some matt varnish in a rattle can on ebay, but was refunded as they can't send overseas..............If anyone can suggest a matt varnish spray I can buy in France, please fire away.

you might try an art supply store. they sell clear sprays as fixative for various projects and I think some of them might actually be lacquers that come in flat, and gloss (it's been a long time since I checked this supply route though. Some are cheap and best avoided (thick application or can even craze your paint job), but one of the higher end ones might do for a model. experiment on something else painted the same way as your model first though. I'd hate for this work-around to screw up your paint job!

Alex - you might try PMing TedMamere (Jean-Luc), he is in France and should be able to tell you straight away what is available ?
