I was told it is some kind of German saint or something. I understand that the Luftwaffe pilots yelled it when they got a victory.
I have no idea, could you help?

Luftwaffe jagdwaffe pilots half-jokingly adopted Saint Horridus as their patron saint - Horrido being the same.

Didn't Adolf Galland use "Horrido" as the title of his autobiography?
One of the guys in my IPMS chapter has Galland's autograph on the base of a Me109 model he built., and that is how Galland signed it.

"Horrido" was the title of a history of Jagdwaffe pilots by Trevor Constable and Raymond Tolliver, written back in the 1960's. Actually a pretty good little overview of a LOT of the Luftwaffe experten.
Galland's autobiography was "The First and the Last," and he cooperated with David Baker on a very good biography - "Adolf Galland" - shortly before his death
