This is ye' olde' Monogram P-39 with some Aeromaster decals. EZ line for the antenna lead and the rest is oob. Started off as a week-end project then I misplaced several pieces, which I just recently found, so I decided to finish her up. Not perfect, but finished. Thanks for looking, comments welcome. "Q"

That's sharp looking Matthew. The P-39 is one plane that keeps avoiding me at shows and hobby shops, so I'm going to have to pick one up. I really like yours!

Eric, Thanks for the kudos. Save yourself the headache and grab the Eduard or Classic Airframes offerings if you decide to get one. The Monogram one is ok, but the molds show their age. Thanks for the status on the kits. "Q"

Classic airframes? I think you meant the recent Hasegawa kits.
Having built Eduard's Q-variant, it goes together nice, and if you get the profipack boxing, there's about everything you'l need. As a nice touch, Eduard kits also feature a white metal nose weight.

Actually, AM's P-39 is the Eduard kit in a new box, with new decals, a resin air intake for the air-race version and without the PE, masks and nose weight.

So, if you don't want to build a racer, get the Eduard boxing, preferably the profipack with all the bells and whistles (if you want the goodies, of course).

Thanks for the remarks. It was a little of both, pre and post that is. Once I had the base coats of OD and Gray laid down, I had to liven up some areas, while toning others down. I lightened both colors and did the streaking to give it some tonal differences. Glad you like it. "Q"
