Watching the History Channel the other night and Bodenplatte made it on there. Anyway, one of the blue nosed P-51's that tangled with the Germans over their particular base was flown by "Sandy" Moats.
I was just curious as to which unit this belonged to with the blue nose and all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals!

Hey Chip, I believe you are referring to the 352nd FG, Known as 'The Blue Nosed Bastards Of Bodney'. This FG was also home to George Preddy, The top recorded Mustang Ace of WWII whose career may sadly have been brought to an end by freindly Fire buring the Battle Of the Bulge.
