Has anyone had experience with the 1:48 Blue Max Fokker Dr.I kit? Is it a decent kit?

Limited Run is the name of the game with Blue Max.

Dragon also made one, and Eduard is supposedly working on a brand-new kit.

Greetings Mark as Emeritus has said short run and the first one that Blue Max did. The lower wings and all interplane struts need to be pinned to their respective locations. White metal and plastic. Cowl needs some work and not much in the way of a cockpit. Lots of room for detailing. Markings include Voss' 103/17 and MvR's 425/17.

I haven't built this kit , but I done many of the Bluemax kits . They have many fit problems with the white metal parts , which i'm not a big fan of . If you can get your hands on Model Airplane News they have a book of Scale Aircraft Drawings that will help with detailing .

Thanks all for the feedback. Based upon your comments, I decided to pass on it in favor of a DML Dr.1 kit, also listed on Ebay.

Not sure exactly when I'll actually find time to get started on it, though!
