The olive drab I use is too dark for my liking; I want to know the code for a Humbrol enamel that I can use as the basis of a lighter olive drab?

Cheers:-H

You can lighten it up by mixing in some yellow to get a faded OD look. I believe the color Field Drab in at least one shade lighter than their OD

For truly heavily weathered OD you may want to experiment with mixing in some Pink, as really old OD aircraft seem to go that way, at least as I have observed. Don't know it is the primer or the OD paint giving way. To my old eyes they seem to have a pink cast to them.

I've also lightened OD by rubbing in a light yellow pastel

Note the difference between the forward fuselage and the tail section and near wing.

I'm not a Humbrol expert, all the paint recommendations are based on the Testor's enamels I use.

Thanks for that, Chuck. By the way, I like the C-47
