sounds like a good book to read. castles in the sky was the last one of this genre that I read and that was good.

This ones definately going onto the "look out for" list.
I visited Thorpe Abbots recently, 65 years after the 100th were flying from there the atmosphere is unlike any other old airfield Ive visited.
The restored control tower, now a museum, looking down the main runway.
Thought provoking remains of aircrew accomodation.
