Post your 3 pictures for the April Model of the Month competition Here.
Post your, single, picture for voting purposes here
Rules for the new Model of the Month. Please read before posting
1. Entries must be of your own work.
2. The model must be of an aircraft.
3. The model can be in any scale and in any medium.
4. The model can be “out of the box”, scratch built, or anything in between.
5. The model must be finished within the month for which it is entered. The model could have been started some time before the MOM for which it is entered, it is the month in which it is actually finished that counts. So if it isn't finished this month it may be ready for next month or the month after
6. 1 picture is to be uploaded into the relevant gallery and titled with what the model is of, I.E. VS Spitfire Mk Vc. No composites. This picture must be of just the model, no base. (For a model posed in the "in Flight" configuration" a small stand is allowed which can be used to either support the model or as a counter weight. A beaching dolly can be used for a float plane.
7. A thread will be opened in the general aircraft forum in which you MUST add up to 3 further pictures and you MAY add details about the build. The model can appear on a base or even in a diorama in this thread. Pictures must not be larger than 700 pixels wide, in either the gallery or the information thread. If you wish to post further pictures then open your own thread.
8. Pictures of models can be placed in the gallery from the first of the month until the penultimate day of the month (the next to last day) (see “5” above). (This is to avoid the time zone difference, I'm working on GMT)
9. Voting will take place over the first half of the next month, closing on the 16th. (This will be between 18.00 and 00.01 GMT)
10. A member winning one month cannot win the following month.
11. Dragon are sponsoring this from June 2007.
12. Staff members of the Kitmaker group of sites cannot enter.
13. The rules will be added to when and if it is deemed necessary.
14. Any none complience with these rules may result in disqualification.
15. Ignorance of these rules is not an excuse for not abiding by them.

This is Wings Models' 1/48 O2U-2 Corsair. I used Contrail strut stock, Eduard instruments, Ultra Cast Seats, exhaust collector ring from a Hasegawa dauntless and an Aeroclub Scarf ring to detail the kit. Contrail strut was also used to scratch build the landing gear and the tires from the dauntless were also used. It's rigged with nylon thread laced through the wings, then the stubs on the top and bottom are cut and the surfaces sanded smooth prior to painting. The build can be read in the early aviation forum.

This is a Swedish JAS 39A Gripen in 1/72, built for the Mark Sharpe campaign.
I've used the Italeri kit and added resin cockpit and seat from Pavla, exhaust from Aires, PE from Part and decals from Two-Bobs. The payload is straight from the box (some PE and decals added)
The model depicts the last Gripen (# 39150) to leave my "home wing" of F 10 in southern Sweden in 2002.
Edit I've added a tiny PE-ladder so that the pilot can get in!

Hi everyone!
My entry is a Heller Spitfire Mk XVI (1/72). It's OOB apart from scartch-built seatbelts. Finished in Gunze Aqueous Hobby Color and Citadel Colors with artist oils and pastels for weathering.
Good luck to everyone!

I am in this months competiton as well. I am joining with my Italeri 1/48 Chinook HC. 1 (CH-47C). It is finished in the camouflage and markings of the Chinook that fought in the Falklands War and solved many transport tasks under extremely difficult conditions.
A good kit and an enjoyable build although it is difficult to find a place in the apartment for this huge beast

Technically correct Vance, but the main reason for that rule is to prevent entries after the month end.
Unless anyone has any violent objections I propose that this entry is allowed. If not then John can enter next month with it.
I'll leave the votinging until Sunday and await the response.

If anybody has any issues with posting entries simply PM me, I can normally accomodate members. The prime goal will be to get as many entries per month as possible.
The rules still need adhering to but the rule about entry time is a little flexable due to the time zones. As long as members don't try and enter 2 days after the end of the month it should be cool. The most annoying thing is those that just post 9 pictures in the gallery and none in the contest thread
