Hey all I have a 1/48 P-51 Mustang I want to show it coming in for a landing on an airstrip I have got a pretty good idea on how to show the airplne off the ground as for the rest of the scene I have no idea what to do if you can help or show me A pic of any dios like this let me know.

Maybe add some trees at the end of the runway, or something like that. Some vegetation.

With all due respect to Chip, I'd avoid trees near a runway...wings and landing gear just don't like them and trying to trim a tree with a wing will spoil a pilot's day.

What you might want to do instead is have some barrels near the runway, maybe a jeep or tow tractor, a couple figures either lounging or waving at the pilot. If the plane is landing, make sure your gear are fully extended and flaps are in the right position. It this were a boxed diorama where you could force the perspective, a couple 1/144 scale a/c in the background and an N scale building would be quite interesting.

Yeah, stupid me, the trees bad idea, but maybe far enough away from the runway or something. I agree with the barrels and other stuff though!
