Hi!, Guys, I am building M.R.C's AH1W Cobra, I don't quite like
the camo scheme. A friend of mine said he has seen in an ad
that the AH1W was in a marine gray scheme. What is the
closest Model Master color that will work for this particular scheme?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Some Whiskey Cobra's had a 3 color gray scheme, Ghost, Light Ghost and Gull, I believe, in the early 90's. Naval/Marine AC have relied a lot on Gull Gray as a base. I'm not sure of the particular AC you're referencing.

There's no particular ref, Al, just thought that the Whiskey Cobra would look
good in the gray scheme. When you mentioned three gray scheme, were
you refering to all three colors to be painted on the heli?

FS 35237 Grey Blue (1721 (Model Master) / XF-20 (Tamiya) / 145 (Humbrol))
FS 36375 Light Compass Ghost Grey (1728 (Model Master) / XF-19 (Tamiya) / 127(Humbrol))




not quite all grey - but cool none the less)

The3 tone scheme I was refering to combined the colors of the first photo (withone lighter shade of gray) and the pattern of the second photo. The dark areas on that one are fs34387 green and black. There were also at least a few painted in a couple shades of brown for Desert Storm.
