Hi morten1993, I'm afraid I haven't built Airfix's 1/24 Harrier, I just wanted to welcome you to this wonderful site
I have in the past built Airfix 1/24 Spitfire, Messerschmitt 109 and Mustang, if they are anything to go by then the Harrier should be a nice kit. Probably needs detailing in the cockpit, for such a large kit. I think there is at least one set out there, but I couldn't tell you by who.

Hi peter
i read the review in mis but they mention cutting the nose section and replacing it with the sea harrier nose. i thought the kit was of the sea harrier.

A great site by the way.

The Airfix 1/24 Sea harrier is a sea harrier, the problem is that it will need a major rebuild to turn it into a current AV8b/D. One possibility, that perhaps you haven't considered is to convert it into a Spanish navy AV8 which should be possible, It's still going to be low-vis grey but at least you get more colorful decals. Personally I doubt anyone has 1/24 spanish decals though. The carrier that the Harriers are based on is 'Principe De Asturias' probably if you look for the Spanish defense dept., you'll find links.... Jim

I have built the Airfix 1/48 Sea Harrier. Might be the same kit but a small one. Can you give me pics of the box? I am going to find that kit here
