Hi
can anyone tell where i can find a list of what aircraft where used on US aircraft carriers during WW2.
I'm interested in building 1 of each if possible in 1/72nd scale.
any help would be grateful.

Hi Shaun, There was the F4F Wildcat, F4U Corsair, F6F Hellcat, SBD Dauntless, SB2C Helldiver, TBD Devastator, and TBF Avenger. The first three are Fighters, the next two are Dive-Bombers, and the last two are Torpedo Bombers. There were several variants of each type used during the course of the war. For example, F6F-3 and F6F-5 were two types of Hellcat that had slightly different canopies. There were also some night fighter types assigned to carriers like the F6F-3(N). I hope this helps you out.
