Being it's a 3 day Bank Holiday weekend in the UK and a 3 day weekend in the US could account for it being quiet. But perhaps this will get you started ?

Hi Patrick,

I live in Cambridge and all of the model shops that sold plastic kits are closed or converted to RC models. Bury St Edmunds has a model shop, but really you need to go to Hannants at Lowestoft, or order from them and pick them up at a Duxford Airshow.

regards,

Peter

Oh no! Does that mean the nice little shop upstairs on Burleigh Street (near the Grafton Centre) has gone?

R & D Models unfortunately closed about a year ago.
The nearest shop left to the south of Cambridge is Sports and Fashions in the High St, Huntingdon or alternatively you can pop in and see us as we are only about 15 miles away.

If Simon and Vicky haven't got it then I'm sure they can get it for you.

Thanks Howard - you're one of our best customers, obviously, and one of the brilliant founding members of the Warboys Model Show!

Yes, we are a shop in Barton which is about 5 miles from central Cambridge on the A603 towards Sandy. If you find the flags in the layby before the garage then you'll find us too! There's plenty of parking, we offer free tea and coffee but we're only open on a Friday between 2pm and 6pm and Saturday between 10am and 4.30pm.

However, feel free to phone the mobiles at other times and we can pop over and open up if we're available so that you can have a look round. You don't even have to buy anything, just look!

Simon's mobile - 07988 617289
Shop - 01223 262426

Any questions just ask! Hope to see you soon
Vicky & Simon
