I guess B-1, B-2, F-22, Berkut and various Russian designs would qualify as well?
After all stealth is not an exact science - or at least not for us mortals without clearence to all the details

Perfect, then I will probably go for this one. I like the idea of the bright red stars on a stealth aircraft

I will build the Italeri F117 in 1/32nd, never have I seen such a big box with so few parts inside. I would like to do the version with the American flag on the bottom so if anyone can point me in the direction of clear pictures that will help me work out the scale and the unit the aircraft came from it will be appreciated.

Darren,
Any help ?
http://www.richard-seaman.com/Aircraft/AirShows/Edwards2005/Highlights/UsaFlagF117_1.jpg
This is the Flag scheme applied to the last delivered F-117 at Edwards, and flown for the retirement ceremony.
For the one with the US Flag underside just scale this to fit
http://www.eteamz.com/rebeltdclub/images/US_Flag_FR019frf.jpg
Photos of the aircraft with the US Flag embossed on the underside have become quite rare for some reason, perhaps because they realized it was inappropriate ? As banking one direction the Flag was displayed properly, banking the other direction it displayed the Flag as a distress signal (upside down) ?

Thanks Chuck that will help me obtain a more accurate finish, I now just need to know what unit was painted in this manner. Also having dug deeper through the boxes I have also located Revell’s offering in 1/48th 04545 which comes with a nice little PE set, now this kit seems for more involved that the Italeri 1/32nd offering however I believe that when it comes to painting the stars and stripes the 1/32nd will be easier. Your advice is sought on this matter as it’s been a while since I touched an aircraft build.

Darren,
I can't be absolutely sure of the exact unit but my best guess wold be the 49th Fighter Wing, as they (the F-117's) were home based at Holloman AFB, New Mexico ?

Nice banners Jesper.
As I'm hoping to do a S-37 for this campaign I opted for the banner depicting that aircraft.
How many people need to sign up for this campaign to get off the ground?

10 participants are needed, so we are only one short. I am sure there must be 10 members that want to join, but everybody might not have seen the tread. That is where banners work to spread the word.
I cannot decide what to build. The F-22 is also very tempting. there is still time to decide....

OK, I signed up, so now you should have 10.
How about A-12/YF-12/SR-71?
Do they qualify as black and/or stealth?

If it is accurate that only two F117's were painted with the American flag then 843 is a Black Sheep aircraft and 782 is not displaying any specific unit.

We should have reached the magic 10 now.
If you find the time later then join up. After all, how long can an overall black scheme take to paint

Hi Jesper
Thats great!
Well, actually black is one of the more difficult modelling tasks (as white a/c).
cheers

Haru: The blackness of my belt is like the inside of a coffin on a moonless night.
Joey: That's pretty black, Man.
Haru: It is a black art, and I, Haru, am the blackest of the black. Or rather the great white black art... Blackest... Master.
cheers

Hi all.
I had some time on my hands this morning and had a go at a campaign ribbon. Came up with 2 very basic ideas. Let me know what you think?
And in the resolution it would appear in on users' profile

Looks good. Instead of writing "paint it black" we could write "stealth"? antway the black background looks good.
