Hey guys!

First time poster....be nice!

I recently bought the Revell reboxing of the Hasegawa Phantom with british decals and plan on starting it soon.

Problem is...the colour directions are for Revell colours only and without clues about F.S. numbers or actual paint names f.ex. dark sea gray.

Anyone know how these aircraft were finished and have paint recommendations.
I mostly use Tamiya Acrylics.

See Ya!

Hi Emil. If the directions give Federal Standard numbers you can find the Tamiya or what ever company you need from a colour referance chart. There are some around the net. There was one big one at JPS Model's site once but I am not sure if it is there anymore. Good luck. Or simply write the F.S. numbers you need here and I am sure someone will convert them and reply.

Thanks for the reply!

The instruction booklet does not give FS numbers but mixes for Revell color..

The main ones are:

A: 75% satin grey 375 25%satin grey 378
B:50%satin light grey 371 50%satin grey 374

Maybe someone knows Revell Color really well and can tell me some equivalents or someone know how the actual 1:1 aircraft were finished

It´s this kit: http://www.relishmodels.co.uk/revell-1-48-british-phantom-fgr-mk-2.html
I plan to make it as it appears on the box art shown

Thanks and See ya!
