Re the (old 1975) Tamiya Lanc 1/48 kits. I have a quandry.

The engines supplied with the kita are a bit crap. Yes I know I could scratch build stuff - but they will still look unrealistic and as I have 2 from one kit plus 2 from my other kit - intend to have all 4 exposed for viewing.

Can someone tell me if the Aires Merlin XXII's would require much surgery to be used in this kit or would I be better off using an alternative
