This is my first 1/72 kit, I mostly build 1/48th thur 1/32. This is built out of box except for the markings. It's Hobby Crafts (Copy Craps) SU-25 Froog Foot. There isn't anything I can say kindly about this kit. Looking through my references I see that it lacks detail, no panel lines and cockpit...well it was pretty bad. seat looked like a Lazy Boy and over sized. The tub was just a plain, smooth empty box. The frog on the tail was first airbrushed on clear decal paper, the hand painted in the detail. Oh yeah the kit had no weapons.

Happy Modeling,

That sounds like a kit to avoid. The czech national markings also seem to be out of register. However, You did a really good job on it and I really like the unique camouflage.

Thanks for sharing

I really like that you persisted with this build. The paint job is complicated and it looks the part. I have a 48th scale one in a box and you have inspired me to get it out and have another look. I've ordered the Eduard Big Ed set so at least the kit detail (or lack there of) won't get in the way of the PE.
I really like the Frogfoot and I came to know about it while building an A10 for a few years. Watching all the videos on Utube really bring this aircraft to life for me, thanks for giving the old kit a new life.

Thanks Guys, it was the first kit in many years doing without PE or Resin aftermarket. I'm not a fan of 1/72...not much to go by. I've seen the 1/48th's and the many aftermaket sets and decals out. I may someday do one in 1/48th.

Bill PM on the way,

Joe

Hey Joe
You mentioned seeing after market resin and decals for the Su 25, any chance you could send me in the right direction?. Many thanks, as you know I haven't been building aircraft in a few year so I'm out of touch.
Best wishes

well Joe it really dose show what you can do with such a crappy kit, you have come up with a good looking model, yeh so the details are bad on it but your paintwork makes it look like a hasegawa kit
