Roxter takes a look at Sram's assembly jig that should make constructing biplane models of all eras much simpler.

Nice review.
I ordered one, hopefully I'll get it from the next batch Petr receives.
Maybe it will rekindle my interest in bi-planes.

Despite the fact that this looks exactly what I need to complete an RAF SE 5a I don't think I'll be able to buy one soon...do you have any tips on how to align the wings and struts before I throw it across the room? Any references or help is greatly appreciated!

My jig arrived today. Goes together nicely now. I've just got to try it out on, revells se5a and rodens fokker D.vi both in 1/72.

As usual, I'm following Dave's lead. I ordered one as well. Got a confirmation of the order, so...now the waiting begins. I've been eyeing my stash of bi-planes for awhile now. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long to fill the order.
Cheers,
Mike

Mine is on the way...... now for a bi-plane --- after the 1/350th ship and 20 other projects.
(maybe a nice old Lindburg Jenny!)

..was wondering whether or not it would be a bit bulky for 72nd.....??
Just been wrestling with the excellent Revell Dr. 1 in 72nd and could have done with this - not only could I not fit the interplane struts at all, I couldn't see a lot of the pieces either... ! perhaps time for a change of scale...

I just got my PayPal request for payment from hobbyshop.cz for the jig I ordered...total cost, 23 Euros (approx. $35.00). Man, I can't wait to get that little beauty up and running... Come on, mailman!
