Hello everybody,
Here I want to show you my newest Model, the F-16CJ Block 50 of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF)

The greek Airforce (HAF) get altogether 180 F-16 from the type F16C/D Block 30, 50 and 52. These Airplanes have the same modern weapons like the U.S F-16.

The first delivery of F-16C/D's for Greece, code name Peace Xenia I, were Block 30 Airplanes with a General Electric F110-GE-100 Turbofan. The first F-16D fort he HAF have been delivered on the 18. November 1988. F-16C have been delivered shortly time later.

In April 1993, General Dynamics get an additional order to produce 40 more F-16CJ/DJ Block50 Airplanes (32 Charlie and 8 Delta Models). This Airplanes are powered by a General Electric F110-GE-129 power plant, and delivered by the code name Peace Xenia II.

To discern the Blocks 30, 50 and 52 of HAF you only need to read the numbers on the fin. Block30 Serie begin with 1, Airplanes of Block50 Serie with 0 and the Airplanes of Block52 Serie with 5.

The quality of the Cockpit was 0.K but I also used parts from Eduard and Avionix (ex Blackbox).

All inside surfaces were painted in FS36320 (Gunze-Sangyo)

[bThe pilots eat is from Avionix and also coloured in FS 36320. In this early stadium I used the Decals, because these for the pilots seat are also included.[/b]

The air intake in the box is with four parts and should be, puttied and sanded on these areas because you can see in it.

One bad thing on this kit is that there are less of cables and pilotages into the wheel well. Here I used photo etched parts from Eduard (49390) and cables from my own spare part box.

The inside of the nozzle are upgraded with parts from the Eduardset (49383).

The colours of the F-16and F-4 wich were used from the HAF are called „Ghost Scheme“. These colours are FS 35237, FS 36307 and FS 36251.

I only got these colours from Xtracolor.

Because the colours of the F-16 are really bright, I used an light washing colour.

After airbrushing, I assembled the wheels, tanks, nozzle and weapon racks .
Finally I assembled the ladder from Eduard (48474) to get a really original pic of this model.

So I hope you will have fun with these pics! If you have questions or anything else please write it here or send me an email...

A very nice F-16, I have to say...

Do you mind if I download the pictures for color reference? I have also have a Greek F-16 planned and ready in my stash.

If it turns out only half as good as yours, I will be a very happy modeller...

Beautiful! Love the weathering on this bird... and the foliage too.

It's the nicest F16 i've seen around so far.

I believe is very nice but I have to say that is wrong in the point that serial number 058 belongs to 341SQN/111CW and the Rudder in 341 is painted with a red tape. The scheme with the wings and sword belongs to 347SQN/111CW aircrafts Blocks 50 also but with LANTIRN pods.

I have to say it is a fantastic work.
