I was just about to finish this kit, the Roden 1/32nd scale SE5a, when I accidentally knocked it off of my display case.

PS. As usual I get a red box instead of a picure

I feel for you my friend. Repair it, an old friend and modelbuilder from the dark ages told me that “you can always repair” Broken parts can be replaced, if you need any part just let me know because I have spareparts for this one. Perhaps you´re not in the mood for repair just now, so let it be on the shelf until you´r mind cool off. I know, that´s happened me to.

Happy faces

That is an ouch! Sorry Rick, she looks like a fine job otherwise. Like Larsa has said send her to the Bruchlager - repair shop. She will come back together. Maybe a draft of Guiness first ?

No, I think you need to be sober for this one.
Repair it RagIII. You will be even more satisfied when it is finished.

Cheers,

Hugh

The rigging actually did its job. The right wing has almost held its place in spite of no cabanes. The left lost both cabanes and interplane struts but if you lift the wing it looks as though the lines may straighten after struts are replaced. That being said I am setting this one asside for a while as I don't have the heart to try right now. A big thanks to all for the encouragement!!

PS: Structural rigging using fishing line seems to hold up much better than other rigging methods when disaster strikes!

if it is any consolation, your model looks better than mine does and mine has not fallen off a shelf. . . yet.
