A legend in model aircraft lore is the story of Revell''s 1/32 Imperial Japanese Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden (Violet Lightning), Allied code-named George.

Reviews of the other legendary Revell 1/32 Imperial Japanese fighters:
1/32 J2M3 Raiden "Jack"
1/32 Ki-61 Hein "Tony"

I bought two other Shidens in this size: Doyusha's 1/32 N1K2 and Nichimo's 1/35--yes, advertised as 1/35--N1K2. I may get a review of the Doyusha George on sometime, but the Nichimo kit is an awful toy.

Nice review. That kit is one of my Holy Grails. I wish I could get hold of one of those for $90.00! When I've made bids on ebay they always go for more than $120 plus!

I also have the Doyusha 1/32 N1K2. Pretty nice except for the cockpit. Since it was meant to have an electric motor inside to run the propeller, they chopped the cockpit depth to make room for batteries.

I'm gonna sit tight and wait to see if Trumpeter' will come out with one.
