I'm certainly jealous. I'd love to get one but the price is a little out of my range-according to my wife!

Now as far getting things for people I'm for it so if your interested, Feel free to email me, [email protected], this is not just for the F-18 but I have access to most Japanese and Korean kits at a great price... stug

Steve,

The prices are great, but the shipping is a killer, especially on a big kit like that Hornet. I have been trying to get one of Tamiyas' big Tigers, and the shipping is going to be $75 - $100 USD on top of the kit.

Hi Panzer, welcome to the site, lots of great people in this site, and many good plane modellers. Holdfast, Ladymodelbuilder, Twistedfate, Warlock, Stugiiif to name a few. You will enjoy it.

Well, about postage from JAPAN!!!!!! for all you guys in the states. Let me put it this way. For me a US Service member serving the US NAVY. Postage to anywhere in the US is calculated as if it was sent from San Fransico, CA, where the "official" post office is for Guys ; like me, who live overseas!!!! that help with the postage issue.. stug

Hey Stugiiif, I guess the postage to USA isn't gonna be that much different to postage to europe. I really, want to build one of these monsters but I am not gonna pay the inflated prices of the european importers....Pity Tamiya and others don't start selling on-line----Jim

Academy’s 1/32 scale model of the F/A-18C Hornet is one impressive kit (perhaps the best 1/32 kit ever produced). Whether you’re a fan of the F/A-18C Hornet or not you own yourself a treat – check it out.

http://www.academy.co.kr/hornet/index.html

Also, Jef Verswyvel at Black Box, announced that the Black Box Combat Series cockpit kit for the F/A-18C Hornet will be out in June. Price will be $35.00 Black Box will be taking per orders on this as they expect it to go fast.

Regards,

SCUD Hunter

I just opened my kit and the way it's set-up, the D model could be out shortly. The cockpit tub is molded as a two-seater ready for an ejection seat, side panels and instrument panel. The extra seat is there in the kit, just a few different parts need to be molded to make a D model.

(I'm crossing my fingers for a Super Hornet version :-) )
