Can anyone show me some refs of the 3 round lights beneath the port wing of a P-51 and tell me the colours?
I'm pretty sure I have them sorted but want to double check.
Also, are these navigational lights?
(note: typo on title...lol)

I'm not sure what they are for but according to most of my kit instructions for Mustangs, T-bolts, Corsairs, etc, they go in the order from the leading edge to the trailing edge, Red, Green and Yellow.
Hope this Helps

Not navigation lights, but aircraft identification lights. A visual form of IFF, used when approaching formations of friendly aircraft. Like when escorts joined or rejoined bomber formations.

Notice how in Chuck's pic that one of the light are blue? again i'm not to sure but someone once told me that it's blue because when the bulb behind it is lit the yellow glow from the filament mixes with the blue lens and as we all know when you mix yellow and blue it make green.
