The H-21 was mainly used in the advisor years before that. 1 CAV deployed with UH-1B and D model Hueys in mid-'64.

Good call on the Jeep. All the units using the H-21 in Vietnam had converted to the UH-1B by the end of 1964. The 1st Cavalry Division did not deploy to Vietnam until mid-'65. When it did, however, it did deploy with UH-1 types.

I do not master the rescribing stuff (yet?). Luckily there are only the vertical panel lines, so I can do it with the Tritool scriber saws.

I choose the OD scheme because I already have a 3 colour Shawnee for my site.

cheers

Steffen

I also do not master rescribing. I mess up almost everytime

Nice looking banana on your site. Now I understand that an all overall OD will supplement the other H-21 nicely.

I have experienced that it is easier to scribe BEFORE sanding, the scriber can then follow the existing panellines.

Then you sand, and at the moment the lines become shallow you deepen them again.

For me this works a lot better than saning all the lines completely away and then have to try making straight lines from nothing
