I'm building Italeri's 1/72 chinook and was wondering what was the main color for the interior of the helecopter (vietnam gunship era). I normally paint with either vallejo or tamiya (both in acrylics). Thanks for the input!!

The interior is medium grey for metal parts and a little darker grey for the fabric soundproofing on walls and ceiling. Seats are red fabric. Some of the upper surfaces are left in yellow zinc chromate. The floor usually has black non-slip coating strips, or is painted in a black sand paint.
Cockpit is the same medium grey with either red or green fabric on the pilots seats. Instrument panel is also medium grey with black dials and gauges.
That should help you out.
