Hi
#608 Albatros DIII OAW hits the market in august. Fancy colourscheme.

This will put some colour on the shelf, must have it My only wishes is that the Swedish distributor is very slow, December will be a great month for me

That is certainly a colorfull bird! Looks like a challenge to paint but the results would be cool.

Wow! is that a bunch of spirals, or is it lots of chevrons lined up along the spine?
Eitherway, it looks like it would be a real challenge to mask, paint and be 100% happy with the result... I like it though.

Cheers,

Hugh

With serial # of 608 were looking at another 1/32 issue. Fuumy though the OAW rounded rudder is missing from the images they have up.

1/32 scale , I will have to pass on this one , but 1/48 scale would be neet . I have a few in my stash . The rounded rudder would that be the same used on late models or was it more rounded ? It also seems the red strip around the fuselage is like a barber pole , would that be the same on top of the flying surfaces ? Either way it's very colourful .

I noticed the omission myself when I checked the Roden site out last night. My guess is that in order to get pics posted of the parts they simply used the original Albatros parts.( At least that is my hope). By the way there were other changes on the OAW variant. The 2 most prominant being the rectangular foot step on the fuselage side instead of the half circle shape of earlier Albaros fighters, and the second is in the number of wood panels visible on the nose section. Also the panel joints were different (oops thats 3). There are others, it just depends on how nit picky one wishes to be

PS: Roden also lists the SPAD VII as a September release in the "In Processing" section.

Yeah, another 1/32 D.III.

Maybe we will see a 1/32 D.v / D.Va in our lifetime.

Stephen, If I get ahold of one of these, I will join your GB. This looks great. Thank you Roden.

Just re checked the Roden site. The wing is indeed the early Albatros/central radiator version. Again this tells me they simply posted pics of their original DIII release.
