Hi Mal.
I presume by FAA your mean Fleet Air Arm?
The Fleet Air Arm aircraft archive lists over 100 aircraft used by the FAA and the Liberator isnt one of them.
Do you have any more information. Squadron etc?
You dont mean the American equivelent of the CAA,,the FAA do you?
There are some nice Coastal Command Liberator profiles online

Nige, I think Mal is referring to the Coastal Command aircraft like this one ?

These folks seem to have decals for them, they appear to be for the GR V, but may work for the III ?

Yes I guess it's Coastal Command.
Thanks for the links Chuck and I've seen those, and others, what I'm after is the actual size of the markings. The scale of the profile might be sufficient, or I might be able to scale it myself?
Thanks again.

Mal,
I don't know what scale you're looking for, but Illiad Decals produce a very nice sheet of Liberator GR versions - mostly Canadian. I have the 1/72 scale sheets, but I'm pretty sure they also make 1/48th. But this is a very nice sheet. (sigh....) Another on the pile to build ! HTH ..................................Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the info, but what I'm after is the size of the markings as I want to produce my own in 1/48. I scan of a 1/72 scale decal sheet would be a good starting point

Mal I have a book on the B-24 with plenty of pictures of the Coastal Command aircraft. I don't have a scanner but if you can wait till Medway show I will bring it along.

No problem Mal, I'll also bring the book with the Italian marking info in. If we can find a photo copy shop near by or I can lend them to you until Telford as I wont be needing them for now.
