I manage to find a great bargain for an Academy F-15E Strike Eagle Kit 1/72. But after building the 2 new kits from Academy the F/A-18C and the F-16CJ/CG i got use to the proper build manual and paint instructions.
After opening the F-15E kit, i was rather shock to see the crude compared to todays standard instructions.
Does anybody have the current colors for the Strike Eagle? In gunze? PLus anybody have any idea how the F-15SG look like?

Hello Eerie,
This page should help you with the color and paint. There's also some great links.

I believe all you really need is gunship grey. Here's another site you might find useful.

Dude i finally got the item above. The instruction is quite old and quite confusing, can anybody explain the need for the film?

If it's like some of the others I have used you sandwich the film between the etch so it gives a representation of dials, etc not sure how it works on this thought as the zoom sets are pre coloured. unless its just to give the idea of there being glass there.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thats ok, i can't wait to see the finished result. I have a 1/32 Revell F-15E with am decals for RAF Lakenheath and Cutting Edge detail set to do at some point. Hopefully this might inspire me to start it

Dude,
Could you be so kind to scan the painting instructions from ur kit. Cos the academy kit is crap on instructions

Can do, give me a day or two as I think it is buried at the bottom of the stash in the loft. I'll also scan the Astra decals instructions as i think they are with the kit as well.
