I'm not sure there is such a thing as "too much". It sort of depends on how far you want to go. Some guys go all out on every build, some stick to out of the box. I guess I'm in the middle cause I sometimes just want to see how well I can do without after market doo-dads. If I have a subject that really intrigues me, I might go for all I can get. the downside is the cost. It's easy to spend more for the extra's than the original kit cost.
It's really all up to you.
