Hello,

The last few months have been bussiest of my life (moved, having a very young boy to take care of and a demanding work place), so not too much time for modelling. But I finished this one last weekend, and wanted to show you guys some pic's:

Karaya offers the best resin kits in our category to my humble opinion. No filling was needed for the fuselage halves end wing assembly.

It's quit a big biplane!

During this busy period my modelling skills were not up to my usual standard. Still it looks okay, but many flaws cannot be seen on the pictures.

Cheers, Nico

Hello Terri,

No there wasn't much sanding going on. Of course some sanding, but the same or even less then an average short run kit, form let's say Classic Airframe.

@ Ricardo: For the terrain I simply used some of those baggies from my local hobby shop (ground and grass) and glued them on with white glue (or woodglue).

Oh yes one more thing: I accidently bought Karaya's first issue of this kit, and overlooked the fact it did not contain British markings. Having mentioned this on some forum, I immediately got a reply I was to be given a decalset for free! Believe me Karaya's costumerservice is briliant!

Cheers, Nico

Hello Nico - very nice model! I always love these sorts of "non-standard" subjects.

I just recieved my first Karaya product on the doorstep this afternoon and I must say they are very impressive.

Nico,

Excellent work! I know how you feel with that schedule of work and family but it's amazing that you were able to do this with a move thrown into the mix! The best to you and your young family in your new home.

Regards, Dwayne

Hello,

Thanks all for your comments. My next project is going to be Roden's Gotha (1/72 for a change). I have organized a groupbuild on a Dutch website called "early strategic bombers". Five people will do a Roden Gotha, one Zepellin Staaken, an AEG GIV, Handley Page 0/100, Vickers Vimy and a few '20's and '30's will join, For those who would like some sort of impression in the nearby future:

Now it's only texture and I guess most of you won't be able to read it...

Greetings, Nico
