Having finished (bar the painting) of the two vulcans see thread https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/117898&page=1,
i have started the Mach2 Vickers Valiant, to descride the kit i would have to say above terrible, the two halves of the main fuselage don't match, the undercarriage is all miss aligned, however i am doing the best possible. I have also been working on a bomb bay working from a few photos i have and from books. Project is coming on now, here are some of the progress photos.

Been cracking on with the valiant and believe it to be coming on very well, after finishing the bomb bay and not being happy with it i pulled some of it out and started part of it again, the plan was to fit the blue Danube bomb inside the bomb bay but has come out slightly smaller than planned, but not to worry.

Looks complex and interesting.
Not to mention hard work.

has been hard i a way, haven't really got anything to work from other than some grainy photos and some diagrams that don't really shop much, but pleased with the results.

Hi Peter
you are a brave man!! By 72 scale modellers who dared to touch a Mach2 kit I have often heared "Mach2= Kauf 2; Mach 1!" (buy two make one)
cheers

Peter: Nice work whatever the kit.
Steffen: Bad pun whatever the reason. But it's allways nice to see the small traces of german humour...

...or as some British modellers prefere to call them; Mach Poo!
(To help non-native speakers, it literally means Mach Sh*t.)
I started wrestling with the Valiant too this summer, but it is currently on hold. However the Mach 2 Breuget Alizé, at the moment about 25% completed, is actually not all that bad. Of course not Tamigawa standard by any means, but with the addition of an Aeroclub vacformed canopy, some serious modelling work and Model Art decals, it will be a very nice model when completed.
